Use our flat grass field to practice for CHJA Finals! Our August 14th show will feature a Junior/Amateur Equitation Classic and a Junior Amateur Hunter Classic.The Children's Equitation division will run on the hunt course at this show, making it eligible for the equitation classic. These classics are designed to prepare riders for the CHJA Finals.
JUNIOR AMATEUR EQUITATION CLASSIC:
Open to junior and amateur riders. To run on an open card concurrent with each equitation division on the hunt course. Riders may show at any height offered in the following divisions: Children's Equitation- 2' sm/m ponies, 2'6" horses, Junior Equitation- 3', Adult Equitation-3', Modified Adult Equitation-2'6". Riders will complete their first classic round after their division fence classes. A numerical score will be given and a cut-off for testing will be maintained throughout the day. To consist of a first round with 10-12 jumps including a combination but not a 1-stride or 2-stride. At the end of the day, the top 6 riders will compete over a test of the judge's discretion. Ten ribbons and a $100 cash prize to the winner. Entry fee: $50
JUNIOR AMATEUR HUNTER CLASSIC:
Open to junior and amateur riders. To run on an open card concurrent with each hunter division on the hunt course. Riders may show at any height offered in the following divisions: Children's Hunter Pony sm/med-2', large-2'6, Children's Hunter Horse- 3', Adult Hunter- 3', Amateur Owner Hunter-3'6", Junior Hunter-3'6", Evergreen Hunter-2'3-2'6", Modified Adult Hunter-2'6", Low Hunter-2'9". Riders will complete their first classic round after their division fence classes. A numerical score will be given and a cut-off for the second round will be maintained throughout the day. The top twelve horses will be called back for a second round at the end of the day. Ten ribbons and a $100 cash prize to the winner. Entry Fee: $50
