You can request a printed prize list by emailing pinesfarm@pinesfarm.com. The on-line version will contain the entire prizelist, the time-table, and an entry form. Current affiliated organization membership forms will also be available for you to print off, fill out and bring to the show for your convenience.

Gabor Francia Kiss Memorial Service

 

Gabor Francia-Kiss
Born: January 12, 1935
Died: January 26, 2009

Visitation: Sunday February 1, 2009 from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. (Rt. 159) Suffield. A Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the request of his family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Hungarian Foundation, 300 Somerset St. New Brunswick, NJ 08903.

Gabor Francia-Kiss, 74, of West Suffield, beloved husband of Holly (Wikar) Francia-Kiss, died suddenly, on Monday (January 26, 2009) at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Born on January 12, 1935, in Budapest, Hungary, he was the son of the late Erno Francia-Kiss and Gabriella Maria Molnar. Gabor grew up in Hungary and fought in the Hungarian Revolution, escaping communist rule in Hungary through Austria with the help of Catholic support.  He came to the U.S. into Camp Kilmer in New Jersey in 1957. He attended Colorado State University before settling in Chagrin Falls, OH. Gabor was an extraordinarily gifted equestrian. He was a classically trained European rider, twice qualifying for the Hungarian Olympic Team. A well-known and highly respected trainer, rider and coach, Gabor brought riders and their horses to the top of their careers. He was a member of the U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) and started the Professional Horseman's Association in Ohio. Gabor was a USEF "R" Judge for over 40 years and will be greatly missed by everyone in the equestrian community. He was a kind, caring, loving, talented man who will be greatly missed. Besides his wife of over 10 years, Holly, he leaves a sister, Maya Kiraly of Budapest, Hungary and a stepdaughter, Devin Van Houten of West Suffield.
